It is not enough

to stand by a chair

and say

it will hold me up;

in it one must sit.
 
 

It is not enough

to hold a hanging rope

and say

it is strong and sure;

on it one must climb.
 
 

It is not enough

to stand before a bridge

and say

it will support my steps;

over it one must cross.
 
 

But is it enough

to hear the Word

and say

I believe,

or, is it more

in Him one must be?
